SKILLS:PGA VS. LPGA

Over the years there have been many discussions whether a woman can compete on the PGA Tour. Babe Zaharias did it first, followed by Annika Sorenstam and Michelle Wie. None have been successful. So, why is that? Is it strength or length of course? I decided to take out variables and just look at only skills. Let's reverse roles. If the PGA golfers competed on the LPGA Tour, how would they do? Since they are competing on a shorter course, does that help them?

Using the current statistics information on the PGA and LPGA sites, I reviewed the top 10 golfers in Driving Accuracy, Greens in Regulations, Putts in Greens in Regulations and Scoring Average. I averaged that information and below is what I came up with. The women came out on top 3 out of 4. What are your thoughts?

Drive Accuarcy GIR P/GIR Score Avg.
LPGA 0.83 0.77 1.59 69.75
PGA 0.74 0.71 1.7 69.19
