Q:  If I travel in the United States, may I use scores from golf courses besides my home state?

A:  You may use scores from any U.S.G.A. rated public golf course.

Q: What if I don’t complete all four rounds in one month?

A: You don’t have to enter scores each month. You may enter scores on the month that you complete your fourth round. We want you to enjoy the flexibility of this format.

Q: What if the season has begun? Is it to late to late to join?

A: You may join anytime, all year long. Take advantage of the introductory rate.

Q:  What if I accidently submit an incorrect scorecard?

A: Notify use through contact@competitivegolfassociation.com and we will delete it and notify you. You may then re-enter your scores.

Q: May I still enter scores during the off-season?

A: You may enter scores all year long. This gives you 5 more months of competition.

Q: What if I have an idea for a tournament or a suggestion?

A: CGA is a member driven association. We encourage all ideas or suggestions. Please submit them in our 19th hole suggestion box.

Q:  How will you control someone from posting fake scores?

A: We are relying on the integrity of each golfer during the season for the scores they post. We plan on monitoring some of the scorecard information for validity. Golfers that are obviously cheating will be challenged on the concern and if they continue will be loose their membership. Even though this does not resolve all possibilities of cheating, hopefully it will minimize it. The concept is to have an expanding family of golfers getting to know each other through our website, developing relationships and trust and meeting at the end of the season for the championship.

Q:  What is the cost to play in a golf tournament?

A: The $40 covers the cost of all tournaments played
throughout the season. It does not cover the cost of the Championship
tournament which the top players from each tournament will be invited too.

Q: Do the rounds entered need to be attested? What if I play a round by myself?

A: The electronic score card on our website has an attest field, but you are
able to play alone. You can just note your name in the attest field.

Q: How many tournaments may a member participate in each month during the season?

A: Currently, each member may compete in 5 golf tournaments: Individual, Individual w/Handicap, Couples, Two Person and Parent/Son or Daughter.

Q: Where is the monthly golf tournaments held?

A: This is a flexible format which allows you to play on a course of your choice. For example if you played golf every Saturday, you would be able to submit that information on our electronic scorecard towards an applicable tournament. After you have completed the fourth round and submit your scores, it will be posted on our website leaderboard.

Q: Where is the championship held?

A: The championships for the first year will be held in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Golf courses TBD.
