About the Booster Club
South River High School’s athletic programs teach adolescents it takes hard work to achieve a goal, and individuals must put forth their best effort and work as a team. They also teach communication, leadership, and life fitness.
The Sports Booster club supports the school’s programs by providing athletic equipment and facility improvement to benefit the students and athletes. One of the recent major purchases included new stadium seating to accommodate the expanded student body after redistricting to include neighboring Crofton residents, doubled the school population. This stadium project required a substantial loan. It is our goal this year to raise enough funds to pay off the loan or pay it down significantly. We’d also like to fund some much-needed improvements to the facilities, and provide our athletes with new uniforms and equipment. Contrary to popular belief, these items are not funded by the County, but by the Booster club.
